PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) — State officials seized millions of dollars worth of cocaine during a traffic stop in Palm Beach County earlier this month.
The Florida Highway Patrol announced the seizure on Wednesday. The local DEA office alerted the Highway Patrol about a truck suspected of transporting drugs from the southern border into South Florida.

Highway Patrol located the truck on the Florida Turnpike on Oct. 5 and conducted a traffic stop. Officers found duffel bags filled with cocaine inside a concealed trap door.
Officials said approximately 381 pounds of cocaine were seized. The drugs have a street value of $14.7 million.
The suspects have been transferred to federal custody, including one who had previously been deported.
