The FSU Seminoles are once again expected to be very active in the transfer portal, and to do that, they will need several players from the 2025 roster to enter the transfer portal. They have already seen 18 players announce their plans to enter it when it opens on Jan. 2.
While most of their departures have been from reserve players, they have lost several starters from the 2025 team. One of them is safety Edwin Joseph, who started 10 games for them last season. While he had some issues, including a sideline disagreement with head coach Mike Norvell, he was a talented player.
He is expected to be a coveted player for multiple teams due to his production over the past two seasons for the Seminoles and two years of eligibility remaining. He has now received his ranking as a transfer and is among the top players set to be in the portal when it opens.
While the rankings are constantly being updated as new players enter, 247Sports currently ranks him as the No. 21 overall player and No. 2 safety. It is an impressive improvement from high school, when he was the No. 329 overall player and No. 16 athlete in the 247Sports composite.
Joseph had his best season in 2025, recording 37 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, five pass breakups, and one forced fumble. He finishes his FSU career with 51 tackles, 7.0 tackles for loss, four interceptions, and nine pass breakups.
