South Seas Resort is making a splash with its latest attraction, a sprawling 2.5-acre water park.

The park features water slides, pools, and play areas suitable for all ages, nearly covering the size of two football fields.

The park’s standout feature is Bottlenose Bay, boasting six water slides. The longest slide stretches 235 feet, with thrill-seekers zipping down at nearly 15 miles per hour.

Shawn Farrell, General Manager of South Seas, shared his enthusiasm for the new addition.

“It has everything you possibly could want on vacation, right? A very special destination. And this is kind of that cherry on top. Because once you’re done shelling or you go fishing or you do the pontoon boats or you do any of those activities, then you come back and you kind of want to have that, let’s relax,” said Farrell.

The park also features a 35,000-gallon splash bucket and a relaxing 410-foot lazy river complete with inner tubes and life vests. For those seeking a tranquil retreat, The Cove pool offers a peaceful haven for adults.

“It’s meant for everybody. It’s not just that crazy kids up and down in slides. It is meant to take care of everybody in the family,” said Farrell, emphasizing the thought that went into the 2-year-long project.

The resort offers more than just water-based fun. Visitors can enjoy food, drinks, a cool arcade, and a children’s program called Camptiva. Kids can join nature walks and spend time in a children’s center equipped with bean bags and art supplies, providing entertainment away from the sun.
