City of Cape Coral launched a redesigned official website aimed at improving navigation, accessibility and usability across mobile phones, tablets and other devices. The refresh features a cleaner layout, more intuitive menus, improved search functionality and updates to meet Americans with Disabilities Act accessibility standards. The project was led internally by the city’s website specialist and completed using the city’s existing platform, avoiding the cost of a full system replacement. The total cost was about $12,000, city officials said. New features include mobile-responsive design, Live, Play & Work quick links, expanded recreation pages, built-in accessibility tools and an artificial intelligence-powered virtual assistant, CeCe the Manatee. Additional tools include a Development Services Map, enhanced emergency management resources and a centralized City Project Updates section.Â
