FSU College of Business receives $65 million philanthropic investment

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Florida State University’s College of Business is getting a philanthropic investment.

Dr. Herbert Wertheim, founder of Brain Power Incorporated, is committing $65 million to the college, according to FSU.

The university will be renaming the college the Herbert Wertheim College of Business, as well as Legacy Hall, FSU wrote in a statement on its website. The college’s world-class new building will be called the Herbert Wertheim Center for Business Excellence, per the university.

Wertheim’s investment in the college is the largest endowment gift in FSU’s history and the second-largest philanthropic gift the university has received, according to FSU.
