Orlando Pride defenders Hailie Mace and Rafaelle Souza have announced their engagement.

The couple posted a video on Instagram of Rafaelle proposing to Mace in the former’s home country of Brazil.

“Am I half Brazilian now?” Mace jokingly wrote in the caption.

After spending the past five seasons with the Kansas City Current, Mace joined Orlando earlier this month as a free agent.

Mace was a regular on the Current’s back line for several years, earning NWSL Best XI Second Team honors for the 2025 season.

Rafaelle joined the Pride in 2023 and has become a regular starter in the team’s back line.

The 34-year-old recently signed a three-year contract extension, keeping her with Orlando through 2028.

Rafaelle has also been a regular with Brazil for a decade, reaching 100 caps last year. She has represented Brazil at two Women’s World Cups (2015 and 2023) and three Olympics (2016, 2020 and 2024).
