Two people were killed and another was hurt in a shooting early Tuesday in Miami Gardens, police said.
It happened in the 1900 block of Northwest 175th Street at around 12:44 a.m.
Police responded to a report of a shooting and found three victims: two were flown to a local hospital, and the third was rushed by ground.
Two of the victims were pronounced dead at a hospital, authorities said. Their identities were not immediately released.
According to police, a preliminary investigation revealed that a party was taking place at the residence when shots were fired.
One woman who did not want to be identified said she has lived in the neighborhood for 40 years, and before the shooting, she heard young voices, music and laughter.
“It was a kids’ party, ’cause I know it was kids, and the party started around 9 ish,” she said. “This a quiet neighborhood, and it’s scary.”
The investigation is ongoing, and police have not provided information about a possible suspect or motive in the gunfire.
