STUART, Fla. (CBS12) — An Orlando man pointing finger guns at beachgoers reportedly sparked a chaotic chase at Stuart Beach on Tuesday, ending with a PIT maneuver and an arrest.
Deputies with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office say they responded to Stuart Beach after reports of a suspicious man, later identified as 25-year-old Christopher Taylor, making hand gestures and pointing his fingers at them as if he had a gun.
Shortly after, more calls reportedly came in reporting Taylor driving recklessly and acting erratically.

When deputies attempted to pull him over, Taylor allegedly refused, prompting them to use a PIT maneuver to stop his SUV.
When asked about his behavior, deputies say Taylor offered no explanation, only asking what country he was in, claiming he wasn’t sure where he was.
“He might claim he didn’t know where he was, but tonight we know exactly where he’s going — Martin County Jail,” the police wrote in a post to Facebook.
