The annual Key Biscayne Fall Festival is right around the corner.

The event is scheduled for noon-5 p.m, on Sunday, Oct. 19, at the Key Biscayne Civic Center.

The free event will feature bounce houses, performances, a petting zoo, jewelry, face painting, merchandise vendors and food trucks, just to name a few.

To make sure kids with unique abilities are not left out of the fun, they will have exclusive access for one hour, from noon-1 p.m.

Last year, Richard Perez, special projects coordinator for the Village Parks and Recreation Department, said the reserved hour helps kids with unique abilities feel part of the community.

“Kids coming to engage in activities is a way for more families to be more involved in community activities,” Perez said in 2024. “It’s a way of becoming an inclusive community. It’s an opportunity for the kids to enjoy the rides and other activities without typical kids floating around. No loud music… an hour of activities for them.”

Also, all kids will receive a pumpkin for their families to take home for Halloween.

The event is sponsored by the Village of Key Biscayne, It Takes A Village and the Key Biscayne Chamber of Commerce.
