PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — A major tractor-trailer crash closed all lanes and brought traffic to a standstill on the Florida Turnpike Northbound in Port St. Lucie.

According to FL511, the crash occurred around 4:51 p.m. at the Becker Road and ended with a semi on its side blocking lanes of traffic.

Crews are still on the scene working to hoist the semi truck back upright and tow it away to reopen the turnpike. The road closure has reportedly resulted in miles of bumper to bumper traffic.
