Death investigation underway near wooded lot in Fort Pierce

FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — Deputies with the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office are currently investigating a death on Juanita Ave. in Fort Pierce.

Due to the investigation, Juanita Ave. is currently blocked off west of 25th Street.

A passerby told CBS12 that there is a heavy law enforcement presence, including multiple patrol units and fire rescue trucks stationed near a densely wooded lot.
