TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Halisi Africa at Railroad Square in Tallahassee put together a dinner party for Kwanzaa.
The sixth annual cultural celebration honors shared African-American and Pan-African values. The restaurant hosted a dinner on Dec. 26 alongside live music, drum circles and interactive games.
Bryant Shaw, co-owner of Halisi Africa, said it was great for the community. “Beyond dinner and games, it’s a big push to get to know your neighbors and to unify in that way as a community.”
Kwanzaa started Dec. 26 and runs through January 1 and Shaw said the celebration will continue up to Tuesday.
