Tarpon Springs Epiphany

8 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6. St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 36 N. Pinellas Ave., Tarpon Springs. The day begins with services at the cathedral, followed by a procession to Spring Bayou. Once there, the Archbishop of America blesses the waters, reads the Gospel, and a white dove is released. After the dove is released, the Archbishop casts a cross into the bayou and young men dive into the waters. The diver who retrieves the cross is considered blessed for the entire year. Afterwards, all are invited to attend the Epiphany Glendi-Festival from 2-6 p.m.

Holiday Lights in the Gardens

Blessing of the Fleet

World’s Largest Rubber Duck

Jan. 9-21. Coachman Park, 300 Cleveland St., Clearwater. The 61-foot installation named “Mama Duck” will grace downtown Clearwater for three weeks with a variety of events to accompany her stay. “Timmy,” her 10-foot-tall baby duckling, can be seen now through the end of January at various Clearwater locations.
