The Jacksonville Jaguars (11-4) and the Indianapolis Colts (8-7) meet Sunday in Week 17 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET (FOX). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds around the Jaguars vs. Colts odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.

The Jaguars extended their winning streak to 6 games in Week 16 with a 34-20 road victory over the Denver Broncos. Jacksonville won outright as a 3.5-point underdog with the Over (46) cashing. QB Trevor Lawrence threw for 279 yards and 3 TDs, adding a rushing score. WR Parker Washington had in 6 catches for 145 yards and a TD. The win snapped Denver’s 12-game home winning streak.

The Colts’ skid reached 5 games in Week 16 with a 48-27 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night. Indianapolis failed to cover as 3.5-point home underdogs as the Over (46.5) hit. QB Philip Rivers threw for 277 yards and 2 TDs to WR Alec Pierce, but 49ers LB Dee Winters had a 74-yard interception return on Rivers’ final throw.

The Jaguars beat their AFC South rivals 36-19 in Week 14 and have won 4 of the last 5 meetings, but the Colts lead the all-time series 28-21.

PASS.

I’ve got Jacksonville (-250) handling its business on the road, but not at these odds. I’ll take my wager to the spread.

BET JAGUARS -5.5 (-110).

The Jaguars re absolutely rolling, and the confidence showed up loud and clear in that win at Denver. Lawrence is playing the best football of his career right now, stacking big games without putting the ball in harm’s way. When a quarterback is this hot, I’m not looking to step in front of it.

The Colts, on the other hand, are trending the wrong way. Giving up 48 points to San Francisco with extra prep time is a massive red flag, and it’s hard to trust that defense to suddenly tighten up. Rivers has been fine in his return, but asking him to keep pace with this Jaguars offense feels like a stretch.

Jacksonville has scored at least 34 points in 3 straight games and already handled Indianapolis by double digits earlier this month. The Jaguars are also one of the best ATS teams in the league (10-5), and this number stays short because of the division angle. I don’t need to overthink it. Lawrence is locked in, Jacksonville is confident, and the Colts can’t stop anyone right now. I’ll take the Jaguars to get it done again.

BET OVER 48.5 (-110).

The Over has cashed in the last 6 meetings between these teams. Jacksonville has gone Over in 3 of its last 4 games and is averaging 34.1 points during its 6-game winning streak. Indianapolis has hit the Over in 6 of its last 10 games and is allowing 34 points per game over its last 3 outings.
