TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Sunny skies heading into a weekend with so many events.
Cool Friday morning, warmer this afternoon:
As you head out the door this morning, temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s. With sunny skies expected throughout the day, temperatures are expected to reach the upper 80s this afternoon.

If you are heading to Football Friday Night, temperatures will be in the 80s around kickoff, falling into the 70s overnight.
FAMU’s homecoming:
Homecoming week features the parade and the game tomorrow at FAMU. The parade will be cool with temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s.

The game will be a little toasty with temperatures reaching the mid-80s with sunny skies.
Chance of showers:
The next cold front is expected to arrive on Sunday. This will not bring widespread rain to the area, but a few showers or storms are possible late morning into the afternoon.

Behind that front, cooler and drier weather returns to the area as high pressure builds back in.
Tracking the tropics:
There is a tropical wave in the Atlantic that is expected to reach the Caribbean over the next few days. Development of the looks possible as it approaches the very warm Caribbean waters. No reason for concern right now, but something that is worth watching.
