The Jaguars can no longer clinch the division title this week with Houston’s win over LA. That will have to wait until next week.

But the Jaguars do remain in the mix for the AFC’s No. 1 playoff seed at 11-4. They trail the 13-3 Broncos and the 12-3 Patriots in the standings.
In order to claim the conference’s top spot, the Jaguars have to win out, and they also need Denver to lose their Week 18 game against the Chargers. The Patriots have to lose one of their final two games as well.

So with Houston and Denver having already played this week, there is really only one game of significance to the Jaguars this week, and that is the Patriots at the Jets.
The Jaguars will want the Jets to win.
