A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed Sunday evening in the Holden Heights neighborhood south of downtown Orlando, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting occurred around 9 p.m. in the 1500 block of 26th Street, the sheriff’s office stated in an email.

The shooting victim was transported to an area hospital where he died, the email stated.

No other details of the shooting were released.

This marks the third shooting of a teen in Orange County since Christmas Eve.
