Trump meets Netanyahu in Florida today

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to meet with President Trump today at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach to discuss moving into the second phase of a U.S.-brokered ceasefire in Gaza. Trump hopes to leverage his relationship with Netanyahu to speed up the peace process.

The $2 billion dollar pledge for U.N. humanitarian aid comes as President Trump continues to slash U.S. foreign assistance funding. The announcement caps a crisis year for many U.N. organizations as the U.S. and other Western donors have cut billions in funding.

The proposed policy could impact tourists from dozens of countries by requiring international travelers to hand over five years of social media history. Trump says it’s about enhancing security, but the travel industry worries that stricter entry rules could deter well-heeled international visitors.

Pedestrian killed in Pinellas Park

Pinellas Park Police say that a 28-year-old woman named Kendall Wilson was struck and killed last night on the 11700 block of 66th Street while trying to cross the road outside of a crosswalk.

The rink will be built under an air-conditioned tent and then before the game the tent will be taken down over six-and-a-half hours. A test structure was built in Texas, and they’ve done three test runs to determine how to deconstruct the structure as quickly as possible and limit the exposure to the elements.

The moon will draw the first astronauts to visit in more than 50 years. The sun will generate buzz with a ring-of-fire eclipse in the Southern Hemisphere in February and a total solar eclipse in the North in August. Each of those will be followed closely by lunar eclipses. And don’t miss the 3I/Atlas before it departs from our solar system.

Taiwan says it has placed its forces on alert and called the Beijing government “the biggest destroyer of peace.” It also expressed anger over a statement by Japan’s prime minister that its military could get involved.
