Orlando has named Jason Revoldt as its new fire chief, solidifying his role after serving as interim chief. Mayor Buddy Dyer announced on Monday that Revoldt’s permanent appointment has been confirmed following Charlie Salazar’s resignation. Revoldt, who will mark 24 years with the Orlando Fire Department next month, has held various positions, including fire marshal, arson and bomb commander and deputy chief of the life safety bureau.He will be officially sworn in as Orlando’s 22nd fire chief during a change of command ceremony at a later date.
