A fifth suspect has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a man in North Miami Beach who was killed while celebrating his 30th birthday, records showed.
Moses Madry, 21, was arrested Friday on one count of first-degree murder and five counts of attempted first-degree murder, Miami-Dade jail records showed.
Madry is at least the fifth suspect who’s facing charges in connection with the Aug. 20 shooting of Melvin Victor.
Victor was found shot in the chest in the area of Northeast 20th Avenue and 168th Street after North Miami Beach Police officers responded to multiple ShotSpotter gunshot alerts.
He was rushed to a local hospital but died from his injuries.

According to an arrest warrant, Victor was out celebrating his 30th birthday with friends when he was gunned down. The other victims weren’t injured in the gunfire.
The victims said a group of suspects approached them, pulled out firearms and started shooting in their direction.
Police found 41 bullet casings at the scene, the warrant said. Police had previously said there was some sort of argument that led to the shooting.
Surveillance footage obtained by detectives showed five suspects in the area and three of them opening fire, the warrant said.
A photo of one suspect was run through facial recognition software and identified as 22-year-old Ja’Moree Pitts, the warrant said.
Detectives also received Crime Stoppers tips that led them to a vehicle possibly involved in the shooting, and they learned that the vehicle had been involved in another shooting in Hialeah involving a suspect identified as 24-year-old Trayquan Kamari Williams, the warrant said.
A photo of Williams showed him wearing the same shirt, jacket and cigarette lighter holder as a suspect in the shooting of Victor, the warrant said.
Facial recognition software also identified 25-year-old Eileen Garcia as a suspect, and another suspect, 26-year-old Antoin Eleby Jr., Williams’ brother and Garcia’s boyfriend, was also identified, the warrant said.

Police had announced the arrests of Pitts, Williams, Eleby and Garcia back in September. All except Garcia face multiple charges including first-degree murder, while Garcia is charged with accessory to murder after the fact.
They were arrested after a traffic stop where police found 3 handguns and 2 AR-style pistols, the warrant said.
The investigation led detectives to Madry, a friend of some of the suspects known as “Moe,” the warrant said.
Madry was seen in the surveillance footage from just before the shooting, the warrant said.
