Cold Weather Advisories Posted for South Florida

LET’S GET RIGHT OVER TO OUR SANDRA SHAW. SANDRA, WE DO HAVE IMPACT WEATHER THAT YOU’RE TRACKING. WE’RE TALKING ABOUT A COLD NIGHT HEADING INTO THE NEW YEAR. GO AHEAD AND BREAK IT DOWN FOR US. SO WE’RE GOING TO HAVE THE IMPACT FOR TOMORROW, THE FIRST DAY OF THE YEAR AND THE DAY AFTER ALL THE WAY THROUGH JANUARY THE 2ND. AND WHY? FOR THE COLD MORNINGS. HOW COLD? WELL, IT’S GOING TO FEEL LIKE 32 DEGREES NOW. THAT’S THE WIND AND THE ACTUAL TEMPERATURES, WHICH ARE GOING TO BE IN THE LOWER TO MID 40S. BUT SUFFICE IT TO SAY, ALL THESE AREAS THAT YOU SEE SHADED IN THE LIGHT BLUE ARE UNDER WHAT WE CALL A COLD WEATHER ADVISORY, MEANING IT COULD BE DANGEROUS TO PEOPLE, PETS AND PLANTS IF YOU’RE OUT. SO THAT GOES INTO PLAY AT 1 A.M. WILL LAST UNTIL 9 A.M. FOR THE LAST MORNING OF 25, AND WE’RE GOING TO DO IT ALL AGAIN AS WE HIT THE FIRST DAY OF JANUARY. MEANWHILE, FORECAST REAL FIELD CONDITIONS TONIGHT ARE GOING TO BE FEELING LIKE THE 20S, POTENTIALLY IN PARTS OF THE TREASURE COAST, AND WE’RE GOING TO FEEL LIKE THE 30S. ONCE YOU HIT MARTIN COUNTY, PALM BEACH GARDENS AREA FEELING LIKE THE UPPER 30S TO LOW 40S IN THE PALM BEACHES. SO IT IS GOING TO BE A WIND CHILL NIGHT WITH THESE BRISK WINDS OUT OF THE NORTH. NOW THE COLD FRONT RIGHT NOW, AS YOU CAN SEE, IS JUST TO THE SOUTH OF THE PENINSULA. IT’S PUSHING OUT. AND SO ALL THAT CHILL WILL MOVE THROUGH AS WE HIT TODAY. SO YOUR SATELLITE AND RADAR IS SHOWING THAT GOING ON. MEANWHILE LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT TEMPERATURES RIGHT NOW ARE IN THE 60S. WE’RE GOING TO SEE HIGHS HERE TODAY IN THE 70S F
