TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Large crowds are gathered at the Florida Capitol Saturday for the ‘No Kings Day’ protest as thousands of demonstrations are held simultaneously nationwide.
The “No Kings” theme was created by the 50501 Movement, a national movement against what they call the authoritarian actions of the Trump administration. The name 50501 stands for 50 states, 50 protests, one movement.

Protests are also taking place in Valdosta, Live Oak, Perry, Sopchoppy and Apalachicola, according to the website.
The most recent No Kings rallies happened in June, drawing hundreds of protesters and counter-protesters to the Old Capitol in Tallahassee.
