Authorities on Tuesday said they are working with the FBI to gather information after five people were shot in Fort Lauderdale over the weekend.

According to Fort Lauderdale Police, the shooting was reported around 2 a.m. on Sunday, near the 300 block of Southwest 2nd Street, in an area with multiple late-night bars known as Himmarshee.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found several adult victims, and the area was secured while the victims were given first aid.

Police said the suspects involved in the shooting fled the area before officers arrived.

Two days after the shooting, all the victims injured were released from the hospital, police said.

The FBI is now working with Fort Lauderdale Police and has created a website where people can send in tips and upload pictures and videos regarding the shooting.

Information can also be sent to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

No arrests have been made.

Following the shooting, city officials said there will be an increased police presence and safety measures in place in the popular nightlife area for New Year’s.
