Trying to figure out how you’re getting around Miami this New Year’s? The Miami-Dade Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) recently announced service adjustments and extended hours for the holiday, so you don’t have to worry about the drive.
Here’s a breakdown of what to expect:
New Year’s Eve (Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025) The Metrorail and Metromover will have extended service until 2 a.m. on January 1. Both Green and Orange Line trains will run every 30 minutes. The Metrobus and MetroConnect will run on a regular weekday schedule.
For those driving to a Metrorail station, parking will remain open until 3 a.m. on January 1. And if you’re ringing in the new year at downtown Miami festivities, the final Metrorail trains will depart from Government Center at approximately 2 a.m. After this time, passengers can only exit stations.
