To me, the line is fine. Both teams are among the most talented and accomplished in the country, and are competing for a National Championship. The talent is there. The narratives are there. The extrinsic motivation (A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP) is there. And with both teams 60 minutes away from playing for a championship, that sets the stage for a potentially epic game on January 8th.
Miami has wanted an opportunity to show their mettle against the top teams in the country and compete for a national championship, and after winning against A&M and Ohio State, they continue to have that chance. They face off against an Ole Miss team that has a chip on their shoulder after their former coach left them for a better job, and they’re playing some of their best football and have earned a spot in the Final 4 as well.
