These pups New Year’s Resolution? Find a fur-ever family fast!

  • January 2, 2026

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Snow arrived at the shelter more than a year ago, and made his first appearance on Furry Friday just days before Tallahassee’s rare 2025 snowstorm. He’s in foster care now, but is still waiting for a fur-ever family of his own.

Snow is into bird watching, squirrel gazing and joining you on your next outdoor adventure!Snow is into bird watching, squirrel gazing and joining you on your next outdoor adventure!(WCTV)

Snow is one of dozens of dogs up for adoption right now at the Tallahassee Animal Service Center.

WCTV teams up with the shelter each week for Furry Friday. It’s our chance to spotlight dogs ready and waiting to be adopted in hopes they can find fur-ever homes faster.

Here are the dogs we are featuring this week -all four have been featured on Furry Friday in the last few months and all four are still waiting to be adopted.

You can make 2026 their best year yet!

Meet Gracie!

A brindle beauty who is ready to explore the big wide world with you!

And this one’s a head scratcher, because Gracie has been at the shelter longer than almost all the other dogs.

Gracie is curious and keenly interested in the sights, sounds and smells unfolding all around her.

She loves car rides and would love to accompany you just about anywhere!

Gracie is also one of the most photogenic dogs ever – so get ready to take a lot of selfies with her!

Please visit Gracie at the shelter this weekend!

Meet Mysterio!

This handsome boy is starting to come out of his shell and show off!

The boxer mix came in as a nervous stray, but as you can see, he’s starting to relax and share lots of kisses!

He loves long walks, he’ll sit patiently for treats and Mysterio will look you directly in the eyes.

Mysterio is not into mystery. He’s into trust.

He is a secret – or not so secret – lap dog who wants very much to find – and to be – a loving, loyal companion.

Please visit your new best friend, Mysterio, at the shelter this weekend!

MEET TEETee is ready to get back onto the comfy couches and into the loving arms of a family again!Tee is ready to get back onto the comfy couches and into the loving arms of a family again!(WCTV)

Meet Tee!

This salt and pepper sweetie just bounces along and excels at making friends. Good friends, fast.

Tee is ready to get back onto the comfy couches and into the loving arms of a family again.

She’s a top-notch smoocher and snuggler.

The 5-year-old is well-mannered and easy-going and still enjoys toys and chews.

Tee is a sweetheart looking for a loving and loyal family. Please visit her at the shelter this weekend!

MEET SNOWSnow has been waiting more than a year for a fur-ever family. He's excited to find one in 2026!Snow has been waiting more than a year for a fur-ever family. He’s excited to find one in 2026!(WCTV)

Meet Snow!

Snow came into the shelter just before Tallahassee’s big snowstorm last January.

He’s in foster care now, but would love to have a fur-ever family of his own with lots of squeaky toys and a human who likes to play fetch!

Snow is really the tale of two dogs. His foster mom, Ashley, said his other favorite activity is lounging on the couch right next to you and watching bird TV. Yup. That’s a thing.

If you can give Snow the home and the human he’s been dreaming of for more than a year now, please visit him at the shelter this weekend.

MEET AND GREET

You can meet these dogs and dozens more awaiting adoption at the Tallahassee Animal Service Center. It’s located across from Tom Brown Park at 1125 Easterwood Drive in Tallahassee.
