January 2, 2026 – Largo police have made two arrests after receiving a Dec. 19 tip that someone abandoned nine puppies and two female dogs, which had parvovirus, in Taylor Park. Officers later discovered that Mary Ann Halahuni Gamble and Fred Gamble were illegally breeding dogs and knew that some puppies were sick and died after being sold. The two were arrested Friday, and each faces 12 counts of felony animal cruelty charges.
