Saturday to see showers and some storms

  • January 3, 2026

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – We had a mostly cloudy Friday, but it was mild and dry.

An approaching cold front will bring rapid changes to our area on Saturday, and rain chances quickly rise, especially in the afternoon.

A few rounds of showers and thunderstorms are likely, and one or two storms could be strong or severe. The low-end severe threat is for a damaging wind gust of 40 to 50 mph, although a brief, small tornado cannot be ruled out.

The rain will leave by Saturday night, making way for a sunny and pleasant Sunday.

Dry conditions will then stick around until at least the middle of next week, with cool mornings and mild afternoons.
