Dense fog advisory issued: Low visibility expected as clouds linger across Central Florida
AND LET’S CHECK IN NOW. FIRST, WARNING METEOROLOGIST CAM TRAN CAM. WE’RE TALKING ABOUT IMPACT WEATHER TODAY. IT’S FOGGY OUT THERE. IT’S EXTREMELY FOGGY OUT THERE. I CAN TELL YOU PERSONALLY, DRIVING IN ALONG I-4 THIS MORNING, THE FOG WAS SO THICK AT TIMES YOU COULDN’T EVEN SEE THE EXIT SIGN. SO THAT’S HOW THICK THE FOG IS. AND THAT’S WHY WE DO HAVE IMPACT WEATHER UNTIL 9:00, BECAUSE THAT DENSE FOG COULD IMPACT THAT MORNING DRIVE. VISIBILITIES COULD DROP DOWN TO A QUARTER MILE OR LESS. IN FACT, HERE IS A LIVE LOOK OUTSIDE THIS MORNING. THIS IS A LIVE LOOK FROM OUR TOWER CAMERA NETWORK. THIS IS ACTUALLY A LOOK AT WINTER PARK HERE. AND WE’RE LOOKING DOWN AT I-4. YOU SEE HOW THICK THE FOG AND REALLY THE LOW CLOUDS ARE AS WE KICK OFF YOUR MONDAY. RIGHT NOW, 57 DEGREES IN ORLANDO AS WELL AS IN SANFORD, 56 IN DELAND. GOOD MORNING, PALM BAY. A LITTLE BIT ON THE MILD SIDE AT 60 DEGREES. BUT TAKE A LOOK AT OUR VISIBILITY MAP. YOU CAN SEE HOW WIDESPREAD THE FOG IS THIS MORNING. AND IT IS VERY DENSE ESPECIALLY ALONG THE I-4 CORRIDOR. KISSIMMEE. IT’S DROPPED DOWN TO ABOUT A HALF MILE VISIBILITY, A QUARTER MILE VISIBILITY IN ORLANDO. AND WE’RE DEALING WITH VERY THICK FOG RIGHT NOW IN MELBOURNE, AS WELL AS IN PALM BAY. HERE’S A CLOSER LOOK INTO SEMINOLE COUNTY. WE’RE DEALING WITH VERY LOW VISIBILITY IN ALTAMONTE SPRINGS. STILL SOME FOGGY CONDITIONS THIS MORNING IN SANFORD, BUT NOT AS BAD AS WHAT WE SAW YESTERDAY FOR SURE. LAKE MARY ALSO DEALING WITH SOME LOW VISIBILITY. SO GIVE YOURSELF A FEW EXTRA MINUTES TO GET TO YOUR DESTINATION ON TIME THIS MORNING BECAUSE OF THAT FOG ON TOP OF THE FOG, WE’RE DEALING. WE’RE DEALING WITH LOTS OF LOW CLOUDS AS WELL, VERY SIMILAR TO YESTERDAY. IT’S GOING TO BE A VERY CLOUDY START TO THE DAY. WE ARE GOING TO SEE THOSE CLOUDS GRADUALLY CLEAR ON OUT, BUT IT’S GOING TO TAKE UNTIL LATE THIS AFTERNOON. HERE’S A LOOK AT FUTURECAST AS WE GO INTO AROUND TEN 11:00. YOU CAN SEE LATE MORNING STILL DEALING WITH A LOT OF LOW CLOUDS AROUND DRY CONDITIONS THOUGH. BUT NOTICE BY 3:00 WE FINALLY GET IN SOME GRADUAL CLEARING OUT THERE AND WE’LL GET IN SOME SUNSHINE. THANKFULLY, FINALLY HERE IN CENTRAL FLORIDA, HIGHS THIS AFTERNOON WILL CLIMB INTO THE MIDDLE 70S. WE ARE LOOKING AT HIGH OF 75 IN DELAND, 75 IN SANFORD. AS WE TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR 12 HOUR FORECAST, AGAIN WE ARE GOING TO SEE THAT IMPACT WEATHER UNTIL ABOUT 9:00 BECAUSE OF THAT DENSE FOG. AFTER THAT THOUGH, WE’LL BE DEALING WITH CLOUDY SKIES AND HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 76. IN ORLANDO TOMORROW MORNING. ANOTHER COOL START WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 50S. HIGHS TOMORROW WILL BE A LITTLE BIT WARMER AS WE GET INTO THE UPPER 70S FOR HIGHS TOMORROW WE ARE GOING TO SEE THOSE TEMPERATURES GRADUALLY CREEP UP AS WE GO INTO MID TO LATE WEEK. AS WE ARE EXPECTING HIGH PRESSURE REALLY BEING THE DOMINATING FACTOR AS THIS HIGH SLIDES OFF TO THE EAST, THOUGH, WE’RE SEEING MORE OF A SOUTHERLY FLOW. EXCUSE ME, PUMPING IN WARMER AIR OUR WAY. AND THAT’S GOING TO ALLOW THOSE TEMPERATURES TO CLIMB INTO THE LOW 80S BY MID TO LATE WEEK. SO AS WE TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR CENTRAL FLORIDA CERTIFIED MOST ACCURATE 70 FORECAST, LOOK AT THAT. WE DROP FROM A HIGH OF 76 TODAY TO A HIGH OF 82 BY FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. THAT IS ABOUT TEN DEGREES WARMER THAN WHERE WE SHOULD BE FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. BUT DON’T WORRY IF YOU DON’T LIKE THESE WARMER TEMPERATURES. ANOTHER COLD FRONT IS ON THE HORIZON. WE ARE LOOKING AT SOME RAIN SHOWERS MOVING IN ON SUNDAY WITH THAT FRONTAL SYSTEM MOVING THROUGH. I’LL SHOW YOU HOW CHILLY I
