World’s Largest Rubber Duck

Jan. 9-21. Coachman Park, 300 Cleveland St., Clearwater. The 61-foot installation named “Mama Duck” will grace downtown Clearwater for three weeks with a variety of events to accompany her stay. “Timmy,” her 10-foot-tall baby duckling, can be seen now through the end of January at various Clearwater locations.

Drive-thru Tree Giveaway

Join a fun-filled birthday celebration featuring concerts by beloved children’s music performers Jack Hartmann and Mr. Brad. Touch-A-Truck and STEM Explorer Fest

10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17. Largo Central Park, 101 Central Park Drive. Guests can climb, explore, and get an up-close look at public safety vehicles, utility trucks, construction equipment, boats, and more. Community helpers will be on site to share what these vehicles do and how they serve the community. A sensory-friendly period will take place from 10 a.m. to noon with softer music and no horns or noisemakers. Regular activities, including horn honking, will resume from noon to 2 p.m.

All Politics is Local: Researching Your Political Ancestors
