A person was taken to the hospital after they were shot in Fort Lauderdale on Monday, while a suspect was detained, police said.
According to Fort Lauderdale Police, officers received reports of a person shot in the 900 block of Northwest Seventh Avenue.
During their investigation, police said that there was an altercation between two people, which resulted in one of them being shot.
The person who was shot was taken as a trauma alert to Broward General Medical Center.
Their identity or condition has not been released.
Aerial footage form Chopper 6 showed blood near a bus stop where the shooting happened.
One person was detained as the investigation continues.
