ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida will remain under the firm grip of high pressure, setting the tone for a stretch of unusually warm weather before another cold blast arrives.

It is another foggy start across Central Florida, reducing visibility to less than a half mile in some locations. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. for most counties. Drivers should slow down, allow extra stopping distance and use low-beam headlights until conditions improve.

Once the fog lifts, the day turns into a pleasant but warmer-than-normal January day. Sunshine will dominate, and highs will rise to near 80 degrees in the Orlando area.
Workweek Outlook
Looking ahead through midweek and into Saturday, the overall pattern barely changes.
Warm days and mild nights continue, but fog remains a recurring overnight and early-morning issue, especially through Thursday morning when some guidance suggests fog could be more widespread and dense. Winds gradually turn more southeasterly later in the week, reinforcing the warm trend.
Temperatures from Wednesday through Saturday will consistently reach the upper 70s to low-to-mid-80s, putting several daily records at risk.
Friday and Saturday appear to be the warmest days, with Leesburg having the highest chance to tie or break a record on Friday.
