A woman was detained after a man was shot at a hotel in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday morning during a possible domestic violence incident, police said.
The shooting happened shortly before 10 a.m. at the Marriott Hotel at 6550 North Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale Police said.
When officers responded, they found the man had been shot in the upper body area, officials said.
He was taken as a trauma alert to Broward General Hospital. His name and exact condition weren’t released.
Police said the adult female shooter was contacted and detained. Video showed officers placing her in the back of a police car for questioning.
A preliminary investigation showed the incident was a possible domestic violence case, but detectives are still investigating, officials said.
