TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A young man is hospitalized with injuries after a shooting outside of the Wilson Green neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office.
LCSO said the shooting happened near the south Tallahassee neighborhood, and “then traveled to the Ridge Haven area.”
Shonda Knight, LCSO’s Executive Director of Community and Media Relations, said the deputies responded to the scene just after 4 p.m..
“It is my understanding that the victim himself may have made the phone call to 911, and so we are trying to learn more about what led up to the incident,” Knight said.
Deputies are still searching for the shooting suspect.
“This is an active and ongoing investigation,” Knight said. “Our deputies have been on scene since the initial phone call. They are still around the area. Our investigators are here gathering more details and as we learn more, we will get that information to the public.”
