A man has been arrested on a murder charge in a fatal shooting at a North Miami Beach park last year, authorities said.
Kevin Jay Kertes, 29, of Sunny Isles Beach, was arrested Tuesday on a second-degree murder charge, records showed.

The shooting happened the evening of July 22, 2025 at Greynolds Park at 17530 West Dixie Highway.
According to an arrest report, Kertes encountered and fatally shot the victim in a heavily wooded area once in his back.
Kertes stayed at the scene and contacted 911, the report said.
The report didn’t identify the victim or give a possible motive for the shooting.
Following a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office investigation, Kertes was arrested and booked into jail.
He appeared in court Wednesday where he was ordered held without bond.
