ORLANDO, Fla. – High pressure sitting over the state will keep Central Florida drier and warmer than normal before a cooldown returns by the weekend.
Fog Advisory
Fog developed early Thursday, with visibility less than a quarter of a mile through sunrise in some spots and prompting a Dense Fog Advisory through 10 a.m.
Fog will likely return again early Friday, making it the fifth consecutive morning with a foggy start.
Forecast Highs vs Record
Temperatures will climb well above normal, with highs reaching the upper 70s to low 80s Thursday and warming a bit further into the low to mid-80s on Friday and Saturday. Not only does that run about 10 degrees above average, it could also be flirting with records.
Weekend
Saturday remains warm and mostly dry, though a few isolated coastal showers can’t be ruled out.
Rain chances are expected to remain low, as clouds and humidity gradually increases ahead of an approaching front.

A noticeable weather change arrives Sunday as a cold front pushes south into the area.
The front could bring a 20-30% chance of scattered showers Sunday afternoon and evening.
Next Week
Behind the front, cooler and drier air will move in early next week.
Winds will turn north to northwest on Sunday and become breezy at times before easing by midweek.
Highs Monday
Temperatures will dip back to winter-like range, with highs in the upper 60s Monday through Wednesday.
Overnight lows will feel chilly as temperatures may fall into the low to mid-40s, with upper 40s to low 50s farther south.
