The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for several vehicles involved in a fatal overnight hit-and-run crash in Volusia County.According to FHP, the crash happened around midnight Sunday on U.S. Highway 92 (International Speedway Boulevard) east of Calle Alto Vista, near the DeLand Municipal Airport. FHP said a man walking northbound across the westbound lanes of U.S. was struck by a passing vehicle. The man fell to the ground and was subsequently struck by multiple other vehicles.The 54-year-old Deltona man was pronounced dead at the scene.FHP said that the man was struck by the first vehicle’s left side mirror, and that the vehicle — as well as several other vehicles — fled the scene.Anyone with information about this crash or the vehicles involved in it is being asked to call FHP at *347 or CrimeLine at 1-800-423-8477.
