After a wildly successful holiday orchestral concert under the Village Christmas tree, the Key Biscayne Piano Festival is just getting started.

For the first of three upcoming solo concerts of the 2025-26 season, acclaimed Russian concert pianist Ilya Itin will be gracing local ears with his virtuosity.

Itin has performed as a soloist around Europe, Asia, South America, and the United States. He has performed with lauded orchestras like the Cleveland Orchestra, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, the London Philharmonic.

Itin has received prizes around the world for his talent, including a Gold Medal at the 1996 Leeds International Piano Competition, as well as the Contemporary Music Award and the BBC Audience Award.

London’s The Daily Telegraph described him as “a rare and exciting artistry … poised, pure and ravishing in its range of color – a superb technique serving an imaginative and inquiring mind.”

Chopin and Scriabin are among the program selections he has in store for Key Biscayne audience members.

The concert will last one hour, and the beautiful Crossbridge Church atmosphere will be accompanied by a selection of light refreshments. Admission is free and seats are available on a first come, first served basis.

The Key Biscayne Piano Festival, in collaboration with the Miami International Piano Festival, will be holding additional solo piano concerts at the Key Biscayne Crossbridge Church on February 13, and March 13, 2026.
