JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A cold front approaching from the northwest will shake up Sunday’s weather pattern across Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia, bringing scattered showers and the slight chance of thunderstorms to the region by late afternoon.
Prepare for increasing cloud cover throughout the day, with rain chances ramping up significantly after 4 p.m.
Not everyone will see rain, but those who do could experience brief heavy downpours.
Keep an eye on the sky and have an indoor backup plan ready for late afternoon activities.
Rip currents remain high at the Northeast Florida coast through Monday.
