Florida State is continuing to look for options to upgrade their roster. One of the areas of interest is the secondary, and Notre Dame transfer defensive back Karson Hobbs is on his way to visit FSU according to Matt LaSerre of Warchant.
Hobbs was a three-star signee for the Irish in the 2024 class out of Cincinnati, Ohio. He’s currently the No. 235 prospect and the No. 17 cornerback according to 247Sports transfer rankings.
In his two seasons at Notre Dame, Hobbs has made an appearance in 16 games. Nine come as freshman, and he put up two tackles and one pass breakup. Hobbs appeared in seven games in 2025, and he registered five tackles and one interception which came in a win against North Carolina State.
The Seminoles have added one memeber to its secondary through the transfer portal in South Alabama cornerback Nehemiah Chandler. With Hobbs visiting, they’re clearly still looking to add more competition for who will be the starter opposite Ja’Bril Rawls.
