JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Mayor Donna Deegan made a friendly wager with the Buffalo mayor ahead of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ playoff game against the Bills.
Deegan and Buffalo Mayor Sean Ryan had a phone call to discuss the terms of the wager.
When (not if) the Jaguars win, Ryan will send Deegan a truckload of the city’s famous buffalo wings, and the city will donate money to a Jacksonville food bank. If (and they won’t) the Bills win, Jacksonville would send Mayport Shrimp to Buffalo and donate money to a food bank there.

She even made an appearance on Good Morning Football on Friday to talk about the wager. She said she was concerned about the Bills fans who are known for jumping through tables at tailgates.
“I hope I don’t have to get caught up in that,” Deegan said. “I’m guarding my tables here in Jacksonville.”
On Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the city is hosting the “Playoffs in the Park” fan event at Riverfront Plaza.
The free, family-friendly event will feature an appearance by THE ROAR, lawn games, live music, face painting, a cornhole tournament and food trucks.
