Florida State has added South Alabama cornerback Nehemiah Chandler and Notre Dame defensive back Karson Hobbs so far in the transfer portal. They’re expected to receive a visit from another defensive back this weekend.

Zach Blostein of Noles247 reported on Friday that LSU safety Jardin Gilbert will travel to Tallahassee. Other schools, such as Louisville, Arkansas, Mississippi State, and UCLA, are also trying to secure visits with him.

Gilbert has five years of collegiate experience, and it’s all in the SEC. His first three years were with the Texas A&M Aggies. He played in 24 games for the Aggies and racked up 79 tackles, two tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, two interceptions, and six pass breakups.

The 6-foot-1, 193-pounder has spent the last two years at LSU. Gilbert played in 18 games and tallied 66 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

Gilbert has one year remaining of eligibility.
