Global City Development and Gilu Development, in partnership with Shawmut Design and Construction, have officially broken ground on Tech Tower, a 23-story workforce housing development located at 10921 SW 7th Street in the City of Sweetwater. Designed by Arquitectonica, the project will deliver 517 residences, 28,197 square feet of amenities, and 2,923 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
The groundbreaking ceremony, held on October 15, 2025, brought together key representatives from the development and construction teams, including Brian Pearl, Principal and Co-Founder of Global City Development; Adam Adler, Principal; Alec Muñoz, Senior Vice President of Construction; Luis Bermudez, Principal of Gilu Development; and Alexis Leal, Head of Florida for Shawmut Design and Construction. Sweetwater Mayor Jose “Pepe” Diaz attended as a special guest, marking the occasion as a milestone for the growing community.
Tech Tower aims to redefine workforce housing by offering high-quality residences paired with condo-level amenities designed for professionals and families within Miami-Dade’s expanding urban corridor. Residents will have access to a yoga lawn, fitness studios, a resident lounge, a rooftop pool deck, and a club room.
