Moe’s Original BBQ will open its first Pinellas County location on Jan. 12 in Bardmoor Promenade, 10801 Starkey Road, bringing its nationally recognized Alabama-style barbecue to Seminole.
The locally owned restaurant is operated by Brian and Janeen Fairhurst and their children, Kamari and Tobias. Brian Fairhurst began his career with Moe’s Original BBQ more than 20 years ago, starting in the kitchen and ultimately managing and owning multiple locations throughout North Carolina before moving to Florida. After raising their kids in restaurants, the family is coming together to bring Moe’s Original BBQ to Pinellas County, a community they proudly call home.
“This has been a dream come true for our family,” Brian Fairhurst said. “We’re excited to bring Moe’s to the Tampa Bay community, sharing our Southern hospitality and our favorite home-made dishes. Because Moe’s is not just about great barbecue, it’s about bringing people together. ”
All menu items at Moe’s Original BBQ are made from scratch daily, featuring award-winning meats smoked over oak and fruit woods, classic Southern sides, cornbread and Moe’s famous house-made sauces. The menu includes signature favorites such as the slow-cooked pulled pork sandwich and Haul-It-Home takeout meals, along with rotating local and seasonal specials.
Seminole’s Moe’s Original BBQ will offer dine-in and takeout service, online ordering, third-party delivery, and catering, along with a local sports package for in-restaurant TVs. Guided by the Fairhurst family’s vision, the restaurant is designed to bring the community together with a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere.
