Michigan State football is looking to rebuild its roster ahead of Pat Fitzgerald’s first season in East Lansing. The plan to rebuild that roster is coming via the transfer portal. Ahead of the weekend, it was announced the Spartans would be hosting a power conference defensive line transfer.

Florida State edge transfer Jaden Jones will be in East Lansing for a visit this weekend. This comes after visits to Missouri and NC State.

A 6-foot-5, 260 pound defensive end, Jones has been in Tallahassee since 2023. A native of Montgomery, Ala., he started his career at Hutchinson Community College. At FSU, he played in 17 games, securing nine tackles and a tackle for loss.

This season, PFF has graded him as a 65.6 overall defender, while being a 72.3 run defender. He is someone that fits the mold as an early down run stuffer.
