Lee County, FL, January 7, 2026– Jonathan Engh, Chairman of the Board of the Lee County Coalition for a Drug-Free Southwest Florida has announced that the Eighth Annual Run for Prevention is planned for January 31, 2026 at Founders Square, Babcock Ranch at 8:00 a.m. Engh says, “Titan Contracting is privileged to be the name sponsor of this event, which supports a multitude of substance abuse prevention programs in Lee County, including Drug House Odyssey. These programs are vital to our community now more than ever”. The event begins at 7:30 a.m. with the Presentation of the Colors by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and the National Anthem by Darlene Mitchell, long time community activist. The chipped and timed 5K begins at 8:00 a.m. with timing by Beach Bum Timing. The Hot Flashz will present one of their unique and energetic programs during the Run

A unique feature of this event is the presentation of the Josh Trophy by the Leisman Family. The Leisman Family brings the biggest team each year in memory of their beloved son Josh, lost to an overdose, and has chosen to award the Josh Trophy to the biggest team for the event.
The event is staffed by Lee County’s Drug-Free Kids, including the Cape Coral Swim Team, the Lee County Youth Leadership Council and the Impact Elite Basketball Team
