A waterfront Florida mansion with a private dock that can accommodate a 135-foot yacht is headed to auction next month with a reserve of $7 million.

Located on Isles of Capri on Treasure Island, Florida—a barrier island about 9 miles west of St. Petersburg—the nearly 6,500-square-foot residence was built to withstand any kind of weather, including a Category 5 hurricane, according to Misha Haghani, founder and CEO of Paramount Realty USA, which is handling the auction.

“You’re familiar with the Man of Steel, Superman. This is the ‘house of steel,’” he said. “The house was built with three layers of glass with Kevlar in between. It’s blastproof. All of the floors are poured solid concrete.”

Designed with multiple curving balconies and a circular roof deck, the home also offers water views from most rooms and direct access to the Gulf via the Boca Ciega Bay, part of the Intracoastal Waterway, Haghani noted.

“It’s on a corner which, when you’re dealing with water, is highly coveted because you have more degrees of water, more frontage and much better views,” he said.

The residence originally hit the market in April 2025 for $11.5 million with Peter Nemethy of Re/Max Metro, who is also the owner, according to listing records. After more than a dozen incremental price cuts over the year, Paramount was called in to host the auction to let buyers bid on the price and to streamline the selling process.

Nemethy bought the property with his wife, Dawn, in 2007 for $1.2 million, according to records with PropertyShark. He did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Because of the water views, Haghani noted, the house is “a little bit like a cruise ship because of how much water you see and how grand and open the home is inside.”

Indeed, the foyer offers double-height ceilings centered by a statement chandelier and featuring recessed lighting, room for a billiards table and a sculptural staircase, listing photos show. The open living area has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the water, and there’s also a glass elevator servicing all three floors, plus the roof deck.

The kitchen has a large breakfast bar, two sinks, clerestory windows, integrated appliances and cabinetry, and a breakfast area, as well as an adjacent formal dining space. A private office with glass walls is also located on the main floor and there’s a home theater.

“There’s a lot of white, which is universal, and the wood floors give it a homey feel,” Haghani explained. “The kitchen is not just functional, but beautiful.”

There are five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, with the primary bath featuring bookmatched marble over the soaking tub. The primary suite also has two vanities, a curving floor-to-ceiling window and seating area and a dressing room.

Artistic elements include a 20-foot abstract statue, mural-covered columns inside and an ornate, colorful gate. Several decks and balconies allow for al fresco dining, drinks or just relaxing, while the roof deck has a hot tub overlooking the bay.

“It’s a really unnecessary luxury that anyone would love to look at and use,” Haghani said, adding that another area of the roof consists of solar panels that power the property.

The property is surrounded by mature palm trees and there’s a pool with a beach-style entry with a very shallow area where guests and residents can set up loungers to get their feet in the water. There’s also a summer kitchen and an outdoor lounge. Meanwhile, the garage offers a vehicle turntable so no one ever has to back out of the space.

Interested buyers can register their interest, tour the home and bid any time up until Feb. 26.

“The seller does not have to wait until Feb. 26,” Haghani noted. “If somebody comes forward today and submits a bid that is acceptable to the seller, the seller can accept it, counter-execute a contract, open escrow and we’ll get the deal done.”
