An investigation is underway Sunday morning after a smoke shop in Fort Lauderdale was broken into, police said.
According to Fort Lauderdale Police, officers received reports of a possible burglary in progress in the 6200 block of North Federal Highway.
When officers arrived at the smoke shop, they saw what appeared to be a smashed window.
The shop’s owner told police that he was inside when the break-in happened and was able to scare away the suspects, who fled in a gray vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
