I’m glad to see the Islander News is still keeping the community informed on local news. My father used to refer to Key Biscayne as the Happy Island and, in reading your paper, that still seems to be true.
I would like to point out an error in an article about the Crandon Park Tennis Center in the January 1 edition. Mr. Grossman indicates that the tennis center stands on land that was donated by the Matheson family in 1992. The land was actually donated in 1940 and includes all 900 plus acres of the Crandon Park lands.
It’s heartwarming to see so many Miami-Dade County residents and visitors enjoying the park.
