Buffalo Bills InjuriesQB Josh Allen – Head Injury/Concussion – Cleared to Return
Josh Allen was stuffed on a third-and-six play that saw the Buffalo quarterback try to run up the middle. Allen was seen grabbing his face, helmet off, as he stood to his feet and left the field. While Matt Prater put the Bills up by three, Allen headed to the medical tent with trainers. After exiting the tent, Allen went to the bench and got back to what looked like business as usual. The Bills announced quickly that their quarterback was cleared to return.
QB Josh Allen – left knee – on sideline
Josh Allen capped a 98 yard drive by willing himself two yards into the end zone. As he was pushed back after crossing the goal line, the Buffalo quarterback could be seen grabbing his left knee while on the ground. This comes after hitting the fingers on his passing hand on teammate O’Cyrus Torrence’s helmet a few plays earlier. After a brief trip tot he medical tent, he took his usual place on the bench reviewing his last drive via the team’s tablet.
RB James Cook – lower leg – returned to play
James Cook ran for a first down and came up limping as he headed to the sideline midway through the second quarter.
WR Tyrell Shavers – down on field
After the Bills defense forced a punt, giving Buffalo the chance to go up by 10, the offense may have taken a hit. Shavers, who is a big part of Buffalo’s blocking game – both on offense and special teams – was down on the field at the end of the Jacksonville punt that sailed out of bounds at the Buffalo 28. Shavers headed to the medical tent after leaving the field.
